I know it technically is only October but I have seen the questions start to pop up on social media.
“What are some good Christmas gift ideas for teachers?”
And I thought you might be stuck also.
Well I have the best idea…
the best book idea…
Mine!!!
If you have an educator in your life (or anyone for that matter) that loves food, family and culture, then this book is for you.
The best bit is, is that I am running a competition, which is pretty epic, alongside buying “At my family table” for your teacher (or anyone really).
If you buy one of my books, you can go into the running to win your child’s preschool, childcare centre or primary class a COOKING AND FOOD EDUCATION INCURSION!!
What?!
I know!!!
(To read a little more about the Little People Nutrition cooking and food incursions you can find out here.)
This prize is worth up to the value of $375. And I think our teachers are worth every single cent, as are our children.
In our cooking and food incursions, we focus on three areas.
- Food and people;
- Food and the environment and
- Food and nutrition.
We use cooking as the exploration and engagement piece with the children, to then tease out these three topics.
Due to the location of Little People Nutrition headquarters (aka my kitchen!), this competition is open to preschools, childcares or schools in Sydney, Central Coast NSW and Newcastle NSW. Of course if you live in Byron and love me tremendously, and would like to pay for my airfare, sure, I’ll come!!! Same applies to Hawaii.
What you need to do is:
- Buy a copy of my book (you can buy 2,3,4,5 and each additional purchase will equal another entry in the competition) between the 24th October 2017 through to December 10th 2017 (I have a new shipment arriving this week!!).
- Write a comment on this post, telling me the name of your school (so I can validate the location).
- On the 11th December, 2017, I will randomly draw the winner of the competition. The winner will be notified via email.
- The cooking and food incursion is valid for up to 25 children of one class and must be used in a classroom setting by the 30th June 2018.
- The preschool, childcare, school class needs to be located in Sydney, the Central Coast NSW or Newcastle NSW.
So exciting.
Please share this post with whoever you think might appreciate it.
Merry Christmas to all the amazing educators out there. You truly are amazing.
Love Mandy
