We adore Easter. We adore Autumn. And we adore cooking with kids.
Cooking with kids at home can be a wee messy and stressful. Likewise cooking with children in a learning environment like preschool or school. Yet having done it for over 12 years now, I know that the “per child” recipe, seriously reduces the stress.
The “per child” recipe, ensures you prepare in advance and that every child has an opportunity to be part of each step. It also dramatically decreases wastage.
Have a look at this very simple recipe for Easter buns or fruit buns.
There is a video AND there are recipe cards you can pop up on the screen or print out. The recipe cards also have the recipe for a standard quantity of buns, 8.
And if you want to print them, here is the PDF. Easter cooking cards
I do hope you enjoyed making these Easter buns. I haven’t quite perfected the cross, but if you would like one, a flour and water, or even icing sugar and a wee dash of water, would work a treat. The flour mixture applied before baking. The icing sugar for post application when the buns are cool.
Enjoy! And Happy Easter.
And! If you liked making these, you might like to hear the story that connects to it too. Listen here to a little Easter tale.
